Shift Times: 9:00 AM–11:15 AM and 3:00 PM–4:00 PM (3 hrs 15 min) Monday‑Thursday; 9:00 AM–11:15 AM and 1:45 PM–2:45 PM (3 hrs 15 min) Friday

Days per Year: 200

Position Summary

This position is 3.25 hours per day with a split schedule Monday‑Friday at Enterprise Elementary School. Enterprise also has an Elementary Para educator – Resource Support Program position for 3 hours per day (Job : 12407) that could be combined with this opportunity for a total of 6.25 hours per day. If you are interested in additional hours, please apply to both positions. Secretary Generalist and Paraeducators are part of separate unions.

Essential

кӯduties and Responsibilities
  • Greet students, staff, parents, community members, and other visitors upon their entrance to the building.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, provide accurate information, direct calls to others, and take messages.
  • Collect and report lunch count to Nutrition Services daily.
  • Put together enrollment packets.
  • Provide secretarial service, including supporting student discipline information and scheduling parent meetings.
  • Create files for new scholars and cumulative/health files, review prior school records, and place them in the filing system.
  • Create and maintain guest employee folders; file updated class lists and health care plans in staff sub‑opse monthly along with building information.
  • Sort incoming and outgoing district and U.S. mail; ensure distribution to appropriate staff mailboxes.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with secretarial tasks such as word processing, filing, and making phone calls to verify absences.
  • Assist with health room coverage when health room staff is unavailable, including caring for ill children, completing accident reports, administering medications, and providing first aid; ensure guardian is called when necessary and that students territo.
  • Assist office personnel with requesting and sending student records, registration, and withdrawal of students.
  • Assist families with online enrollment and help set up Parent Vue accounts.
  • Maintain volunteer records and verify that background checks have been performed.
  • Ensure office machines are in working condition.
  • Prepare communication materials such as newsletters, e‑mails, flyers, and surveys.
  • Translate documents within scope of work if multilingual.
  • May periodically supervise students for a variety of reasons.
Required Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of clerical experience
Additional Requirements

Microsoft WORD and EXCEL;
Positive evaluations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual
  • Basic knowledge of a publishing software
Condition of Employment
