Afternoon Shift Reach Truck Driver

Our client is looking for several experienced Reach Truck Drivers who are seeking a great opportunity in a warehouse environment. If you want to build an ongoing career with a reputable company, training is provided from day one to ensure you can integrate into the environment.

Monday to Friday, 14:00 – 22:00

£14.33 per hour, OT rates apply

• Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including vans and flatbed trucks, to transport goods and materials to designated locations
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays
• Ensure the application of the business "key standards" are maintained
• Ensure productivity targets are met
• Assist with stock counts and movements
• Assist as required within all operational work areas
• Keep the warehouse and loading areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times to comply with Company Policy and Health & Safety Regulations
• Perform general housekeeping, including sweeping and cleaning up the warehouse
• Promote excellent working standards in line with the company BRCGS guidelines
• Undertake any other tasks as directed by a member of the management team

• Previous experience as a REACH DRIVER, preferably in a commercial or warehouse setting (assessment required)
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and basic vehicle maintenance
• Familiarity with various types of vehicles, such as vans and flatbed trucks
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
• Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems
• Basic understanding of Maths and English
• Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative working in a busy environment
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team to deliver results
