Multi-Modal Supervisor

Our client, a well-established family-owned transportation and logistics company
, is hiring a Multi-Modal Supervisor to lead daily rail-to-truck transloading operations at their Fayetteville, NC terminal
. This is not a desk job. This is a working supervisory role
—ideal for someone who enjoys being in the yard, leading from the front, and taking pride in running safe, efficient operations.

In this role, you will supervise a small team while also working alongside them in the railyard to unload dry bulk materials from rail cars/containers onto company trucks and third-party trucks.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise and support daily transloading / unloading operations
• Lead by example—working in the yard and maintaining strong team performance
• Ensure safe operations and enforce PPE and safety protocols
• Coordinate workflow, load sequencing, and daily activity priorities
• Maintain documentation, reporting, and basic administrative tracking
• Communicate with drivers and terminal leadership to keep operations running smoothly

• Experience as a supervisor/lead in a yard, warehouse, operations, industrial, manufacturing, or logistics environment
• Comfortable working outdoors in a hands-on yard setting
• Strong leadership presence with a “lead-by-example” style
• Ability to stay organized and complete documentation accurately
• Solid computer and administrative skills (email, tracking, basic reporting)
• Dependable, safety-focused, and consistent

• Transloading, rail yard, dry bulk, or terminal operations experience
• Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
• Occasional Saturday based on operational needs
• Outdoor railyard/industrial environment
• PPE required (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots).
  Safety equipment is provided.
