The Delivery Driver position at Empire Distributors, Inc. in Fayetteville, NC involves the safe and timely delivery of wine, beer, and non‑alcoholic products to customer locations, handling payments, and maintaining accurate records.
CompensationBase pay: $50,000/yr. Potential bonus and benefits available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Safely drive truck to deliver items such as wine, beer, and non‑alcoholic products to customer locations.
- Collect payments from customers and record transactions on customer invoices/receipts.
- Review customer orders to ensure proper delivery of product.
- Record sales or delivery information on a delivery record.
- Issue or obtain appropriate customer signature on invoice/receipt for pickup or delivery.
- Listen to and resolve service complaints.
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
- Collect or pick up empty containers, kegs, or rejected/unsold merchandise and return them to the warehouse for distribution back to suppliers or inventory.
- Inspect loads and ensure proper packing and security to reduce product breakage and vehicle damage; load truck when necessary.
- Load, unload, and deliver all products that may be ordered by customers.
- Use telematics devices, including delivery routes and driver logs.
- Use electronic devices to accurately and consistently record start and stop times on the time‑clock device, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
- Complete training assignments by management in a timely manner, including but not limited to Worklete and Pro‑Tread.
- Clean the inside of the cab and box of the assigned truck.
- Perform daily routine vehicle inspection reports, noting damages or defects to the truck pre‑ and post‑trip.
- Arrange repairs or maintenance as needed in coordination with management.
- Use all company equipment as required.
- Perform job essential duties while being monitored via Drive Cam.
- Move inventory in the warehouse and participate in inventory activities.
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- ABC Permit (or ability to obtain).
