Part‑time, seasonal employment.

The City of Fayetteville is currently recruiting for certified Lead Lifeguards to lead lifeguards in professional, responsible, and specialized work as it pertains to public safety and recreation in enforcing rules and regulations, and preventing injuries at a City of Fayetteville aquatics facility; and to lead and perform maintenance tasks in order to continually administer a safe and healthy environment for the public.

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have at least 1 year of lifeguard experience
• Currently possess the following American Red Cross certifications:
  • American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid; or
  • American Red Cross Shallow Water Lifeguarding; and
  • CPR for the Professional Rescuer

• Certified Pool Operator/Aquatic Facility Operator Certification
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification

From the time of closing, the selection process is anticipated to last approximately 4‑6 weeks. The process will consist of a panel interview with the selected candidate being subject to a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
