Field Service Technician - 17797
OverviewField Service Technician provides internal and external service/repair support to Field Repair.
Responsibilities- Must be able to travel to remote job sites at various locations INCONUS and OCONUS within 24 hours’ notice.
- Perform in-depth inspections of various types of equipment and submit detailed write-ups to the Repair Service Coordinator for quote process.
- Perform major and minor field repairs in austere environments as directed.
- Complete warranty work as directed.
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Fabricate sub-assemblies from aluminum and steel raw material.
- Install mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies.
- Functionally test sub-assemblies and end items to drawing requirements.
- Assist Shelter Tech. II, Shelter Tech II, and Shelter Tech I in their assigned tasks.
- What you will need to be successful in this role:
- Has proven capability in technical customer relations as evidenced by a minimum of 5 years’ customer service experience in the industry.
- Broad technical and analytical business skills as typically evidenced by completion of an associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
