Position Summary
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel trucks, trailers, and/or heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct engine overhauls, brake system repairs, transmission work, and other necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in tight spaces for extended periods.
