Role OverviewAs a Damage Prevention Specialist, you will work independently, and will be responsible for identifying and marking the location of all partner subsurface utilities to minimize damage or disruption of service due to construction excavation activities.
Responsibilities- Work independently with company‑provided vehicle.
- Interact with contractors, co‑workers and the general public in person, by telephone and/or email to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Promote the Arkansas 811 law to prevent damage.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and background.
- Ability to read and interpret maps and electronic prints.
- Ability to distinguish colors to mark utilities with designated color for corresponding utility.
- Ability to interpret signals and output from electronic detection equipment in order to accurately locate underground utility lines.
