Production Specialist; Carpentry

SSU is currently recruiting for a Production Specialist (Carpentry) to join our team and work in our corporate office in Fayetteville, N.C. This individual will be essential in helping us make great things by helping ensure the required specifications and high-quality expectations are met for all manufactured products. The ideal Production Specialist I has a passion for learning new skills, producing high-quality work, and improving processes.

• Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, trimming, and finishing in commercial or industrial settings.
• Install and repair specialized doors. (TEMPEST and STC)
• Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications accurately.
• Review vendor Fabrication Execution plans and Fabrication Procedures for clients
• Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
• Review engineering documentation, specifications, procedures, for fabrication scope and requirements
• Perform painting activities to ensure quality and timely completion.
• Perform finish flooring installation to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Perform carpentry work such as installing trims, moldings, and cabinetry to meet project requirements.
• Perform framing activities to ensure the structural integrity and quality of the building.
• Perform installation of wall systems.
• Assist in rough electrical work such as running wires and installing electrical boxes.
• Assist in finish electrical work such as installing light fixtures and outlets.
• Assist in mechanical/HVAC work such as installing ductwork, fans, and HVAC systems.
• Use basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to complete tasks.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and supplies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
• Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
• Travel to job sites across various locations, sometimes for extended periods.
• Adapt to diverse work conditions, including indoor and outdoor environments.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and team members to ensure seamless execution

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in carpentry is a plus.
• 2+ years of carpentry or wood production experience preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
