Central Monitoring Station Operator

Full-Time Position | Fayetteville, NC

Holmes Security Systems is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our UL Listed, 5-Diamond Central Monitoring Station Team in Fayetteville, NC.

The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, strong multitasker, and eager learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment while supporting the safety and security of our customers.

This position plays a critical role in monitoring alarm activity, communicating with customers and emergency responders, and ensuring accurate documentation of events.

Knowledge and Experience We Value
  • Proven experience in customer service
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to monitor alarm signals and dispatch appropriate authorities for residential and commercial customers
  • Comfortable handling incoming and outgoing calls to verify alarm events
  • Ability to assist customers with alarm system questions or issues
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document alarm events and customer interactions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Professional communication skills with the ability to maintain a calm and reassuring demeanor when speaking with customers, 911 dispatchers, and first responders during burglar and life safety events
Employment Requirements
  • Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
  • Criminal background check
  • Pre-employment and random drug screening
  • Flexible availability

Our Central Monitoring Station operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so candidates must be available to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.
