Store Associate

Job Description
This position is essential to the success of our retail stores. Store associates work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. Store associates are also expected to promptly resolve any customer concerns and ensure maximum client satisfaction while maintaining the high quality and visual standards of the store.

Store associates are tasked with achieving excellent customer service and consistently meeting the store’s sales goals.

Location and Hours
Store #2918, 454 N. McPherson Church Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28445. Part‑time.

Background Check
A review of criminal history is required to protect the safety of our customers, staff, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately consistent with policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products to customer specifications.
• Stock shelves, set up displays, and keep areas presentable.
• Clean store equipment and maintain in‑stock condition.
• Load/unload delivery trucks and assist in deliveries as needed.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.

Minimum Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds on occasion.
• Availability to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in retail or customer service.
• Experience selling paint or related products.
• Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
