Reports To: Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly

Role Type: Full-time or Part-time

Working Hours: This position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Weekly hours will vary depending on business needs.

Job Summary: Dairy Queen Team Member provides friendly, fast, and accurate service to guests while preparing food and treats to brand standards. This role supports daily restaurant operations by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and working as part of a team to ensure a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests promptly and take orders accurately using the point-of-sale system
  • Prepare food items, ice cream treats, and beverages according to Dairy Queen standards
  • Assemble and present orders quickly and correctly
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and restrooms
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines at all times
  • Handle cash and process payments accurately
  • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet service and speed goals
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Address guest questions or concerns in a friendly and professional manner
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to learn and follow company procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
Education And Experience
  • Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience
  • On-the-job training is provided for all new team members
Working Environment And

Physical Requirements
  • Must be 16 years or older to apply
  • Must be able to stand during the entire work shift
  • Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products
  • Must be able to climb a ladder to clean windows

Travel: Must be able to travel up to 10%
