Summary: Plans and implements professional nursing care for patients in accordance with hospital policies. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.

• Assesses the patient and identifies patient care needs
• Uses patient assessment information to organize appropriate patient care
• Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates patient care
• Facilitates a safe environment
• Maintains required competencies

• Maintains an accurate and relevant record of patient care
• Administers medication as ordered by physician
• Recognizes life‑threatening situations and responds appropriately
• Establishes collaborative interdisciplinary relationships with other Health System staff and medical staff
• Monitors the quality of care based on pre‑established outcome‑oriented indicators
• Actively participates in cost containment and assists in accurate charging for patient services
• Adjusts care based upon age‑specific physiological and psychosocial needs of patients
• Supports patients in the practice of their cultural and spiritual beliefs within limits of medical regimen
• Other duties as assigned

• Education and Formal Training:
  • Associate's degree in nursing required
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
  • Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse or Compact state licensure

• 1 North Observation is a 42‑bed unit consisting of 30 Observation beds and 12 Inpatient beds
• Patient ratio is 1:反馈? Actually 1:5
• Our Care Team consists of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Unit Secretary, Resource Nurse, Clinical Educator, Care Transition Coordinators, Physical/Occupational/Speech Therapists, and Nurse Leader

• Greater than one year of experience in critical care, medical‑surgical, or emergency nursing preferred, New Graduate Nurses welcome
• This role requires a high level of empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
