Description
Purpose /General Description:
Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing all maintenance tasks (Demand or Preventive) to ensure the equipment and facilities operates Safely, Reliably, Productively and is capable of consistently producing quality products at the designed production capacity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Always maintain safety awareness
, wear all PPE consistently, perform tasks safely and ensure others work safely. Bring awareness to issues and potential issues (near-miss) as discovered in all areas of the operation. - Maintain standards and expectations for performance
, company policies and procedures; applicable regulations (building and electrical codes / standards); preventive maintenance system; and work effectively to ensure compliance in all areas, at all times. - Maintain machinery, support equipment and facility infrastructure
, to ensure reliable and consistent operation. Monitor, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues to correct root cause. - Manage work schedules in response to changes or problems in production
, aligning PM and CM activities with constraints of the production schedule, and coordinating major repairs with Plant Manager to keep the operations running on time. - Maintain maintenance spare/repair parts and materials inventory system with Plant Manager ensuring stock areas housekeeping and organization is always maintained.
- Maintain necessary reporting and recordkeeping to facilitate improvements to the PM system and focus continuous improvement activities in the key performance metrics.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED (associate's degree in maintenance is a plus).
- Skilled in Microsoft Office products (automated batching system experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of Electrical / Hydraulic systems and troubleshooting. (NEC Cert. is a plus).
- Demonstrated metal fabrication ability with skills in cutting, fitting, and welding.
- Strong organization, project management and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills (communicate well at all levels within the organization).
- Demonstrated ability to think in terms of “systems” and work creatively to improve them.
- Demonstrated ability to lead improvement efforts and contribute to the success of a team.
- Block Plant experience preferred but not required.
