Position Summary

St. Ann Catholic Church is seeking a dependable and skilled Part-Time Maintenance & Facilities Assistant to support the care, safety, and upkeep of parish facilities, including the church, school, and grounds. This position supports daily maintenance needs and assists with facility projects while maintaining a respectful and safe church environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform or coordinate routine facility maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.).
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure buildings and equipment remain in good working condition.
  • Assist with project coordination, including working with contractors and vendors as needed.
  • Set up and break down rooms for parish and school events as requested.
  • Monitor facility conditions and report safety or maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance storage areas in an organized manner.
  • Ensure compliance with parish safety policies and diocesan guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in facility or building maintenance required.
  • Basic project management or coordination experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work.
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and respectful of a church environment.
  • Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.

This position requires completion of the Diocese Safe Environment Program annually. Required training is available online and must be maintained throughout employment.

Schedule & Compensation

This is a part-time position with a flexible work schedule (8 hours per week / 32 hours per month). Work schedule and compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
