Description

Primary Function:

The IT Technician is an entry-level position within the Qualla Enterprises, LLC organizational structure and is established to aid the organization in its Information Technology functions. This position assists in the daily Information Technology operations to ensure the safety and functionality of Tribal assets, employees and persons on the properties owned or operated by Qualla Enterprises LLC.

Reports to: IT Director

Pay Grade/FLSA Status: H10/Non-exempt

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s in information technology or a related field preferred.
  • 1 year of related work experience in an Information Technology field preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware issues (desktops, laptops, printers) preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive) preferred.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 operating systems preferred.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar IT certification preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Follow standard Information Technology policies and procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
  • Monitor and repair equipment at the facility.
  • Follow emergency response procedures for responding to security breaches; document and report issues to management and implement strong security measures.
  • Maintain logs of operations by filing paper and electronic documents.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with other employees of Qualla Enterprises LLC and Tribal employees.
  • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (desktops, laptops, printers etc.) as needed.
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.) as needed.
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users for operating new software and computer equipment as needed.
  • Install, update, and configure appropriate software, hardware and functions according to specifications as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be detail oriented with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Must have a neat appearance with good personal hygiene.
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to execute a variety of tasks at all company locations (farm, dispensary, etc)
  • Strong problem solving, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to read, perform research, produce and interpret reports and data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, grasp, reach, twist.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
