Overview
Onsite AV Service Technician - Fort Bragg, NC s role is onsite at a federal client in a secure government facility, supporting all AV equipment and systems in environments that include control rooms, operation centers, conference rooms, training rooms, collaboration rooms, and open areas (digital signage). The technical environment is primarily AMX, Crestron & Extron; experience with these systems is required.
The local Service Team and Field Staff provide support when needed.
This job requires an active TS/SCI clearance. Candidates who cannot meet this requirement may not receive an offer or may be ineligible for continued employment.
What You’ll Do- Perform routine preventive maintenance of technical systems, ensuring a ready-to-use state.
- Able to assist in mounting base build equipment such as monitor mounts, ceiling speakers, microphones and projectors.
- Support end-user meetings, conferences, and events.
- Interface/liaison with manufacturers/vendors to facilitate equipment repair needs (RMAs).
- Track/update repair needs, work duties and events within ticketing systems.
- Perform resolution of system/equipment repair faults discovered within systems.
- Function as AV support technician engaging client technical team.
Education &
Certifications:
Two-year diploma from a Technical School, or equivalent experience.
Required Skills/
Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience with audio-visual, corporate video, or related systems.
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Experience with AMX, Crestron & Extron: programming and configuration, loading and testing, debugging control system with remote programmer (Program and Speech, DSP based systems)
- Experience with Video Wall Display Systems
- Experience providing face-to-face client technical systems support
- Good verbal and customer service skills
- Forward-thinking, diligent, and efficient in multi-tasking
- CTS certification from ICIA or manufacturer-based certifications (AMX, Biamp, Crestron, Clear One, Extron, Planar, RGB Spectrum, Polycom, Tandberg, etc.)
- Experience with video conferencing, unified communications, and collaboration platforms
- Troubleshooting video walls, control systems, and DSP
