Cybersecurity Systems Analyst, Associate

FEDITC, LLC is a fast‑growing business supporting DoD and other intelligence agencies worldwide. FEDITC develops mission‑critical national security systems directly supporting the Warfighter, DoD leadership, and the country.

Overview

FEDITC is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Analyst, Associate to work at Fort Bragg. The analyst will perform assessment and authorization coordination, advise the customer on Risk Management Framework (RMF) and develop a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to resolve network deficiencies in accordance with DODI 8510.01 and ICD 503. Responsibilities include assessing network compliance against controls listed in NIST 800–53, creating A&A packages, performing vulnerability assessments using ACAS, Nessus, and Security Content Automation Protocol, and liaising with network and system administrators to address deficiencies.

The analyst will also review scans for new systems and applications, draft certification letters, and ensure compliance with DISA STIGs and cyber network defense tools such as endpoint security and SIEM.

Responsibilities
  • Tracks A&A status of SIE governed ISs and ensures artifacts are available in the USSOCOM‑chosen automated tool.
  • Advises stakeholders on the adequacy of implementation of cybersecurity requirements.
  • Provides DoD & IC RMF subject‑matter expertise and assists with RMF program execution.
  • Maintains, tracks, and validates DISN, cloud, and DIA connection approval packages.
  • Develops and maintains supporting documentation for newly introduced networks, cloud environments, and technologies in the SIE.
  • Reviews the A&A of SIE networks, cloud environments, and systems, and obtains ATO, IATT, or ATC.
  • Performs risk and vulnerability assessments of IT and IS for authorization and prepares reports for SCA and Authorizing Officials.
  • Assists enforcement of A&A and connection standards for networks and systems across DoD, DIA, USSOCOM, components, TSOC, and deployed forces.
  • Maintains A&A databases, websites, and tools to ensure proper documentation and cybersecurity management.
  • Reports to higher headquarters on compliance with Cybersecurity regulations and directives.
  • Ensures timely notifications to prevent accreditations lapses.
  • Develops and maintains an Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) Plan.
  • Identifies, assesses, and advises on cybersecurity control compliance and associated risks.
  • Coordinates with USCYBERCOM, DoD, DIA, NSA, DISA, and subordinates to resolve security and authorization issues.
  • Performs network, cloud, information systems, hardware, software, and device security authorization and assessments.
  • Validates patching, performs validation scanning, and reports as directed by policies and procedures.
  • Provides subject‑matter expertise for COA development and implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Develops and implements processes, procedures, and capabilities to mitigate vulnerabilities for software and hardware deployment.
  • Validates continued effectiveness of key performance parameters and security measures.
  • Performs analytics on cybersecurity posture and reports to AO/DAO and stakeholders.
Experience and Skills
  • 3+ years of progressive, relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with US Combatant Commands (USCENTCOM/USSOCOM) is desired.
  • Technical background with system administration, architecture, and engineering preferred.
  • Knowledge of networking, identity management, Microsoft and Linux operating systems, database, and mobility.
  • Working knowledge of the RMF.
  • Knowledge of the Telos Xacta or Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS) system is desired.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with DoD IA processes and policies (DODI 8510.01, NIST, CNSS, CJCSM 65101.01, Incident Response).
