Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a NC or compact license and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Job Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a short-term acute care, Level III trauma and teaching hospital,

• Night shifts (3x12 hours), 19:00 to 07:00,

• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2-3,

• Every other weekend is required,

• Floating within scope to like units and between hospital campuses may be necessary,

• Epic charting experience is required,

Job Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required; pending licenses not accepted,

• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience required,

• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,

• Must successfully pass an EKG exam prior to start,

• Epic EMR experience is required,

• SSN and date of birth required for consideration,

• Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible,

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include providing specialized care to critically ill cardiovascular patients,

• Team includes experienced critical care staff in a supportive teaching environment,

• Completion of 4-10 hours of pre-start online modules required,

• Royal blue and white scrubs are required,

• Can only approve one holiday off per assignment,

• Time off requests are limited to a maximum of 4 days per assignment unless otherwise approved,

• Returning travelers must have at least a 1-year break before reapplying, with a 2-contract limit before a 6-month break is required,

• First-time travelers are typically not preferred but may be considered at the manager's discretion depending on experience,
