** Summary
* * Perform as a supervised clinician in the Psychiatric Service Line provides individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy as well as case management/discharge planning services for adult, and/or substance abuse patients and maintains competency, supervised training and licensure as delineated through education, experience and tests.#
** Major Job Functions
** The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:
* Provide diagnostic evaluations, individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy to patients as assigned
* Provide crisis intervention as needed
* Provide other appropriate patient services as needed to include evaluation and treatment of individuals with substance use disorders
* Prepare assessment and ongoing evaluation for further treatment, as assigned
* Complete a psychosocial history of the patient within 24 hours of admission
* Involve the patient in completing a treatment plan within 24 hours of admission, which includes the presenting problem(s), psychotherapy treatment objectives, strengths and liabilities impacting treatment, and identified case management needs and objectives, to include discharge and aftercare planning
* Create linkages throughout the patient’s stay between needed community resources, the patient and/or family (and/or other legal guardian), and the treatment team to facilitate continuity of care after discharge
* Engage in peer review activities to determine compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
* Submit billing information accurately and in a timely manner
* Other duties as assigned#
** Minimum Qualifications
** The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:##
** Education and Formal Training**:
* Master’s degree in Social Work
** OR
* * PhD in Social Work
** OR
* * PhD in Psychology
** OR
* * other related graduate degree required
* Provisional or associate license as LCSW-A
** OR
* * LPP* LCAS or LCAS-A preferred
* Substance abuse clinical supervision will be required##
** Work Experience**:
* 1 year previous practice in outpatient and/or inpatient mental health facility preferred##
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required**:
* Ability to provide individual, family and/or group therapy to children, adolescents, adults and substance abuse patients
* Knowledge of basic computer skills to include the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and internet browsing and search retrieval##
** Physical Requirements**:
* Ability to see, hear, read
* Manual ability to use telephones, video equipment and computer keyboard
* Ability to move throughout all departments of the Medical Center
* Effectively communicate orally to patients, family members, personnel and physicians
