Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Tele position requiring a compact or NC license, 2 years of MS/Tele experience, and Epic proficiency.

Job Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital,

• Patient ratios are 1:5-6,

• Night shifts are 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:00,

• Weekend shifts required on an every other weekend basis,

• Floating may be required within scope to like units or a sister campus,

• Epic EMR system used with experience required,

Job Requirements

• Active NC or compact state RN license required at time of application,

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required,

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required,

• Previous hospital Med/Surg Telemetry experience required,

• Must pass an advanced EKG exam as part of compliance,

• No license or background hits within the last year permitted,

• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility,

• Epic EMR experience required for consideration,

• Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provides specialized nursing care to adult med/surg telemetry patients in a high-volume environment,

• Royal blue and white scrubs required,

• First time travelers are accepted for this position,

• Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to be eligible,

• Travelers may only extend once on day shift or twice on night shift before a 6-month break is required,

• Holiday requests are limited to one approved holiday during the contract,

• Pre-start compliance modules (4-10 hours) must be completed prior to start date,

• Additional floating may occur depending on hospital needs and booking location,

• Maximum of 4 days RTO allowed, subject to manager approval,
