Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring EPIC experience and an active NC or compact license.

Job Details

• Work in a short-term acute care hospital's Med/Surg Telemetry unit,

• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00,

• Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5-6,

• Every other weekend required,

• Floating within scope to similar units and to sister campus may be required,

• Uses Epic as the EMR system,

Job Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of submission,

• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience,

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,

• Previous Epic charting experience required,

• Must pass an advanced EKG exam as part of compliance process,

• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility,

• No license or background hits within the last year accepted,

• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment,

• Royal blue and white scrubs required,

• Pre-start online modules required, taking approximately 4-10 hours,

• Return staff policy requires a 1 year gap before returning as a traveler,

• Travelers can extend twice on night shift, but must be gone 6 months after two contracts to be eligible again,

• Holiday time off is limited to one approved holiday during contract,

• Requested time off is limited to a maximum of 4 days and subject to manager discretion,
