Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Med/Surg Tele assignment requiring a compact or NC RN license, 2 years of MS/Tele experience, and Epic EMR proficiency.

Job Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital,

• Patient ratios are 1:5-6 on the unit,

• Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00),

• Weekend shifts required every other weekend,

• Floating within scope to like units and possible float between hospital campuses,

• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital,

• Epic EMR is used and experience is required,

Job Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration,

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience,

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,

• Epic EMR experience required,

• Ability to pass an advanced EKG exam as part of pre-employment compliance,

• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility,

• No candidates with license or background hits in the past year,

• SSN and date of birth required for consideration,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position,

• Royal blue and white scrubs are required,

• Return travelers must have been gone for at least one year before reapplying,

• Travelers on night shift may extend twice before a six-month break is required,

• Modules must be completed prior to start and may take 4-10 hours,

• Maximum of 4 days of time off allowed, with approval for only one holiday off,

• Candidates may be required to float to different units or sister campuses depending on staffing needs,
