The Diagnostic Technologist (Radiographer) is fully competent to perform all radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures for the diagnosis of specific diseases or conditions.

• Graduate from an accredited program in the radiologic sciences.
• ARRT (Radiography) registered or registry eligible.
• Maintain a current AHA BLS certification through Cape Fear Valley Training and Development department.

Minimum 2 years of experience preferred. New graduates may apply if ARRT registered or registry eligible. New graduates that are registry eligible must be registered by ARRT in Radiography within twelve months of hire date.

• Positive interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrated patient care, understanding of growth and development across all age groups.
• Effective interaction with patients of all ages.

• Requires frequent standing and bending; manual dexterity and visual acuity are essential.
• Ability to assume awkward positions, respond to emergency situations.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 100 lbs; carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Potential exposure to blood or other infectious materials.

• ARRT - American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists.
