The Diagnostic Technologist (Radiographer) is fully competent to perform all radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures for the diagnosis of specific diseases or conditions.

The Diagnostic Technologist (Radiographer) is fully competent to perform all radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures for the diagnosis of specific diseases or conditions.

• You must have graduated from an accredited program in the radiologic sciences.
• You must be ARRT (Radiography) registered, or registry eligible.
• You must maintain a current AHA BLS certification through Cape Fear Valley Training and Development department.

• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
• New graduates may apply that are ARRT registered or registry eligible. New graduates that are registry eligible must be registered by ARRT in Radiography within twelve months of hire date.

• Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills. Verbal and written skills required.
• Demonstrate good patient care, knowledge of growth and development, and understanding of the range of treatment needed for all age groups. Provide care based on the patient’s developmental need.
• Experienced in the treatment of and able to interact effectively with patients of all ages.

• Requires a lot of standing and bending.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity.
• Mobility to assume awkward positions and respond to emergency situations.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend and lift; may come in contact with skin, eye, or mucous membrane and potentially infectious material.
• Must be able to bend and lift up to 100 lbs/ carry objects up to 50 lbs.
