Game Emcee - Fayetteville Woodpeckers

Overview

The Fayetteville Woodpeckers are seeking a Host / In-Game Emcee for the 2026 season. This part-time, seasonal role is part of the Ballpark Entertainment team and will announce sponsored elements and on-field contests during Woodpeckers home games. Ideal candidates have experience speaking to large crowds and an energetic, outgoing personality.

• Announce sponsored elements and on-field contests during home games
• Interact with fans in a personable and family-friendly manner, creating a welcoming and fun atmosphere throughout the game
• Work closely with the entertainment team to execute game-day entertainment scripts and adapt to live-game conditions
• Be actively involved in all on-field entertainment, including leading interactive fan games and relaying announcements to encourage crowd participation

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Exhibit engagement energy that resonates with fans of all ages
• Adapt to the dynamic nature of live promotions and stressful situations
• Participate in pre-game Game Operations Production Meetings
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to talk in front of large crowds
• Ability to interact with guests and all levels of management
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Self-starter, problem solver and decision-maker
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Professionalism, reliability, positive attitude
• Willingness to pass pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen

Majority of time will be spent outdoors in a high-activity, heavily crowded professional sports venue. Employee may be exposed to varying weather conditions for extended periods.

Regularly required to talk or hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities include close and focused vision.

Part-Time position. Hours and days depend on the game-day schedule. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

No travel is expected for this position.
