Job Duties
The Department Head reports to the Dean of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design and supervises faculty in the interior architecture and design department. The Head develops and manages the academic program, oversees curriculum and assessment, fiscal management, and student affairs. Responsibilities include leadership, mentorship, fostering a collaborative culture, representing the department at university and external events, and maintaining attendance and collegial relationships.
Qualifications- Master's degree in interior design or closely related field, conferred by start of employment.
- Current academic appointees must be full professors at their home institution or in declared candidacy for full professor rank at hire.
- Current professional practitioners with an accomplished body of work and merit for full professor rank are eligible.
