* JD degree and significant expertise in a wide range of agricultural and food law subjects
* National reputation in the agricultural and/or food law community
* Ability to build connections across the food system, understanding the perspectives of the farmer, the manufacturer, the retailer, and the consumer
* Demonstrated leadership skills
* A vision for leading the LL.M. Program into the future, incorporating ideas for marketing, recruiting, and substantive coursework
* Teaching experience, either in the classroom or in professional service with demonstrated public speaking skills
* Excellent research and writing skills, with either published scholarship or a demonstrated ability to write effectively and a proposed research agenda for future scholarship
* Hold a law license and two years of practical legal experience
* Tenure-track teaching experience or experience as a visiting law professor or fellow
* Ability to interact respectfully, collegially, and professionally with all people at all levels of responsibility
* Comfortable working with students from varying backgrounds and perspectives, including work with international students
* Proficient with technology including computer and digital literacy as well as video conferencing
* Have a distinguished academic record
* Demonstrated administrative management skills
