OverviewCape Fear Valley Medical Center located in Fayetteville, NC, is part of Cape Fear Valley Health System, North Carolina’s eighth-largest health network. The system serves communities throughout southeastern North Carolina and includes Betsy Johnson Hospital, Bladen County Hospital, Central Harnett Hospital, Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital, Hoke Hospital, Behavioral Health Services, Rehabilitation Center, and multiple clinics. Annually, it serves approximately 1 million patients.
Responsibilities- Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Medical management of patients rendered unconscious or insensible to pain during surgery and other procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtain and/or verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients; manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitor patient’s physiological condition
- Perform clinical interventions as needed
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- ECFMG and FLEX (if applicable)
- Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia
- Current medical licensure
In-house call 4 times a month with weekend duty. The team operates in an anesthesia care team model, focusing on voice, collaboration, and care excellence. Leadership:

- Compensation package: $475K
