Inpatient Hospitalist- Nurse Practitioner Physician Assist- Piedmont Fayette

Overview:

IMS/Inpatient Advanced Practitioner

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a full-time Inpatient PA/NP to work with multiple physicians at our Piedmont Fayette Hospital, located 30 minutes south of Atlanta. This position will have no call responsibilities and 10 hour - variable shifts.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

* Examine, evaluate, and treat patients with serious medical conditions, illness or injuries.

* Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patients medical record.

* Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.

* Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.

* Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of IMS/Inpatient experience preferred

Minimum Qualifications

Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification or

Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification

Education and/or Experience

Masters degree or a bachelors degree; graduate of certified Physician's Assistant program.

Certificates and Licenses

Licensure as a Physicians Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners or the American Academy of Physicians Assistants. State of Georgia licensure as a PA is required.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Fundamental Critical Care Support courses preferred.
