Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float position in the ICU/IMCU with night shifts and diverse patient diagnoses.
Responsibilities- Work in the Critical Care Float unit covering ICU and IMCU settings
- Care for patient diagnoses including pneumonia, sepsis, renal, pancreatitis, pre/post general surgery, orthopedic, COPD, COVID-19, GI, and sickle cell crisis
- Night shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within the facility and within scope of practice
- Must be prepared to care for a wide range of critical diagnoses common to ICU/IMCU patients
- Must be able to work required major holidays per assignment guidelines
- No blocked scheduling is permitted
- Return travelers deemed unable to return to one facility must complete one successful assignment outside Piedmont before rebooking at a new location
- Travel pairs may not be assigned the same shift on the same unit
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Maximum of 7 days RTO (requested time off) allowed and none permitted during first week
- Full compliance with orientation and onboarding requirements is mandatory for timely start
- Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
- TWO supervisory references from a manager or above must be provided for consideration
- Must be away for one full year from all Piedmont facilities to return as a traveler
