Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Provide post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from heavy orthopedic, gynecological, genitourinary, and general surgeries

• Care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

• Minimum 1 year of experience required - unit accepts first-time travelers

• Float within facility/scope of practice as needed

• Weekend coverage included in call requirements

• Call schedule: 4 first on-call shifts and 3 second on-call shifts including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

• Holiday work requirements based on number of major holidays during assignment period

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS

• Epic charting system experience required

• Skills required include Phase I PACU, arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition/management, blood product administration, central line care/management, IV vasopressors, care of ventilated patients, conscious sedation, post-epidural management, pain assessment & management, PCA pump management, RASS scale, and malignant hyperthermia protocol

• Experience with various surgical specialties: bariatrics, ENT, general, gynecology, neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedic, and vascular

• Georgia or compact nursing license required in hand at time of submittal

• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed

• Full compliance required to start on time with 48-hour availability for core items and lab completion after contract signing
