Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float position with ICU/IMCU coverage and night shifts, requiring a GA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a Critical Care Float role within a hospital setting
- Float across both ICU and IMCU units providing coverage as needed
- Patient population includes pneumonia, sepsis, renal, pancreatitis, general surgery, ortho, COPD, COVID-19, GI, and sickle cell crisis cases
- Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, Monday through Thursday
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Floating occurs within facility and scope of practice
- Clinical screening will be conducted to determine fit prior to assignment finalization
- Must be able to work assigned holidays during the contract period according to facility guidelines
- No blocked scheduling is permitted
- Up to 7 days of requested time off is allowed except during the first week of assignment
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Travel pairs are not permitted to be assigned the same shift on the same unit
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of ICU or IMCU nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Candidates must provide two supervisory references from a manager or above
- Must meet compliance requirements prior to start
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Must not have been employed (perm/PRN) at any Piedmont facility in the past year to be eligible
