He will partner closely with the Senior Pastor to translate ministry vision into effective ministry systems, ensuring theological faithfulness, organizational health, and ministry alignment across the church.

The Executive Pastor will serve as a biblically qualified shepherd to the congregation and staff, equipping and leading ministry leaders to accomplish their goals while cultivating a culture of accountability, unity, and gospel-centered service. The Executive Pastor is an “among the people” role, not a “closed door office job” role. While the Executive Pastor will oversee ministry systems, his primary focus will be the spiritual health, effectiveness, and unity of the church’s leaders and ministries.

Through leadership development, strategic planning, and day-to-day management, he will help steward the church’s people and resources for faithful and effective Great Commission ministry.

  • Collaborate with ministry leaders on planning, calendar coordination, and resource allocation.
  • Provide support and leadership in areas such as budgeting, stewardship, and facilities as delegated by the Senior Pastor. While this position is not personally managing church finances, they are expected to directly manage those who are personally engaged in that work.
  • Preach or teach as needed and assist in worship services, ordinances, and special church events.
  • Represent the church in denominational, associational, and community relationships as appropriate.
  • Participate in the recruitment, vetting, calling, and onboarding of ministry and administrative staff members.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Senior Pastor.
