Patient Intake Specialist

Palmetto Sleep is a dental sleep medicine practice that provides treatment for sleep-disordered breathing throughout Fayette, Coweta, Pike, and Henry counties. We are seeking a New Patient Intake Specialist with strong communication and organizational skills to handle all incoming patient referrals to our practice. Our mission is to serve confidence with exceptional care!

In this role, you will greet patients and collect personal information, medical histories, and insurance details relevant to provision of services.

• You will also address patient inquiries and concerns.
• Success in this role will be demonstrated by your attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• You should also possess strong interpersonal skills and exemplify excellence in customer service.
• Knowledge of sleep disorder treatments is a plus, but not a requirement as we will provide training.
• Your role will coordinate with a national specialty medicine group who will assist you in this position.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Interview patients and complete acceptance paperwork.
• Intake referrals from medical practices.
• Gather patient insurance coverage and submit for benefit verification.
• Schedule appointments for consultations and other telemedicine services.
• Answer phones and complete associated clerical tasks.
• Create and maintain patient records.
• Communication with referring medical practices.
• Some travel to locations to screen/meet Patients.
