Medication Technician

Reports To:

Wellness Director

• Comply with federal, state, and local health and regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Maintain compassionate and dignified care for residents and adhere to the Resident Bill of Rights.
• Ensure accurate, timely distribution & documentation of medication per resident orders.
• Adhere to Viva Senior Living attendance policies and employee handbook.
• Allowed to be called back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, staffing shortages).

• Accurate and timely distribution and documentation of medication for residents.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A Georgia Certified Medication Technician.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
• Must be able to work well with peers in a congenial work environment.

• Move intermittently throughout workday.
• Handle mental and emotional stress of position.
• See and hear or use prosthetics that enable these senses adequately.
• Meet general health requirements set by facility policies (medical & physical exam).
• Interact with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and occasionally agitated residents.
• Push, pull, move, or lift at least 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
• Assist in evacuation of residents during emergencies.

$17.00 - $18.00 hourly
