Fayetteville Garage Door Co. is a growing overhead door and loading dock equipment service, installation, and replacement company serving Northwest Arkansas, the Arkansas River Valley, and surrounding areas. We work across residential, builder, and commercial segments, with a strong reputation for quality work, customer satisfaction, and reliability built over 50+ years. As we scale, we’re looking for a Sales Director to take ownership of our sales engine and drive disciplined, profitable growth.

Role Overview

The Sales Director will have directional leadership over the entire sales function of the business. This role is responsible for increasing overall sales and profitability by:

  • Increasing revenue per job on our existing lead volume, and
  • Increasing the total number of qualified leads coming into the business.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role that blends strategy, systems, incentives, training, and direct selling
. The Sales Director will design and lead sales strategy under the supervision of ownership, while owning execution across people, process, and performance.

Key Responsibilities 1. Direct Sales to Strategic Accounts
  • Lead direct sales efforts for high-value and strategic opportunities, including:
  • Large residential or replacement projects
  • Builders we have not previously worked with that meet our target profile
  • Commercial customers with multiple doors, operators, or loading docks
  • Prepare and present bids, proposals, and pricing for larger jobs.
  • Build long-term relationships with repeat and commercial customers.
  • Architect and implement a sales and technician incentive program that drives the right outcomes, including:
  • Increased revenue and gross profit
  • High customer satisfaction
  • High-quality work with low recall rates
  • Strong attendance and punctuality
  • Balance short-term revenue goals with long-term brand, quality, and retention outcomes.
3. Sales Strategy, Process, and Workflow Design
  • Design and implement sales strategies, processes, and workflows for:
  • Customer Service Representatives (CSRs)
  • Improve key performance metrics, including:
  • Call booking rates
  • Job conversion rates (revenue vs a conversion threshold per job type)
  • Ensure sales processes align with operational capacity and service quality.
4. Training & Enablement
  • Develop and deliver training related to:
  • Sales processes and workflows
  • Pricing and value-based selling
  • Customer communication and closing
  • Coach CSRs, technicians, and sales staff to consistently execute the sales system.
  • Reinforce expectations through ongoing training, not just one-time events.
5. Hiring & Building the Sales Team
  • Recruit and hire sales staff aligned with the company’s values and performance expectations.
  • Design roles and responsibilities within the sales function.
  • Build scalable sales capacity as the business grows.
  • Set goals, expectations, and accountability for sales staff.
  • Direct and manage sales initiatives and campaigns.
Leadership & Authority
  • The Sales Director will have directional leadership over the sales functions of the business.
  • Responsible for setting sales strategy and driving execution, under owner supervision.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading sales teams and systems, ideally in home services, construction, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to design incentive programs that drive sustainable performance.
  • Experience improving conversion rates, average ticket size, and lead generation.
  • Comfortable with data, metrics, and performance management.
  • Ability to both lead strategically and execute tactically.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
What Success Looks Like
  • Higher revenue and profitability through a combination of increasing margins on existing job volume and increasing job volume through direct sales efforts, while increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Higher revenue per job without sacrificing quality or customer satisfaction.
  • Improved conversion rates across calls, leads, and estimates.

    A scalable sales system that supports long-term growth.
