Essential Functions- Practice safety first and report unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
- Maintain awareness on the sales floor to support a secure shopping environment and keep egress clear.
- Treat all customers and associates with respect and courtesy; greet customers warmly with eye contact, a smile, and a friendly hello.
- Assist customers at the register and with merchandise inquiries; provide prompt, courteous service and resolve customer issues as needed.
- Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high‑touch areas.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the Company’s dress code.
- Handle daily inventory sizing and recovery to keep the store organized and merchandised to standards.
- Expedite new merchandise receipts to the sales floor, merchandising items per presentation guidelines.
- Understand Loss Prevention Awareness, the Shortage Highway, and Store Protection Specialist standards.
- Safeguard confidential information, cash, card, and merchandise.
- Follow Mark‑Out‑of‑Stock (MOS) policies, process MOS merchandise, and notify Store Leadership of disposals.
- Maintain accuracy with cash, check, charge card, and refund transactions; handle bankable tenders with high awareness.
- Demonstrate urgency to maximize productivity and minimize workflow steps.

- Perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.
- Use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
- Stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of working time.
- Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
- Occasionally push, pull, and lift over 25 pounds.
- Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
- Specific assignments may require additional qualifications and skills.
- Stockroom shifts: push, pull, and lift over 20 pounds.
