The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) reports to the Unit Manager and Director of Nursing. This position is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the total nursing care of assigned patients including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation. It also delegates and supervises student nurses, nursing assistants, and licensed practical nurses. The RN assists in the orientation of new staff and clinical supervision of nursing students and helps achieve patient quality care, national patient safety, regulatory agency, and budgetary goals.

• Perform a comprehensive and accurate patient assessment using evidence‑based assessment tools.>
• Provide nursing care according to plan and undertake clinical practice skills in a competent and safe manner.
• Identify changes in patient’s condition and report to appropriate providers.
• Monitor the care that patients receive.
• Maintain patient medical records through complete and accurate documentation.
• Float among various clinical services as qualified and competent.
• Evaluate patient progress toward expected clinical outcomes, including treatments and health education, in collaboration with the patient and the health care team.

  Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensure and
  
  Certifications:
  
  Arkansas RN license & CPR, required. ACLS, required within 90 days.
• Experience:
  
  This position is available to both new graduate nurses and experienced nurses.

This position will spend 80% of the time walking and/or standing while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. It will spend 20% of the time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. The RN will be exposed to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and radiation, serving a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population.
