Advanced CNC Maintenance & Repair Technician
Maynard Inc. is seeking an experienced Advanced CNC Maintenance & Repair Technician to support our high-precision manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing high-end CNC machine tools to ensure maximum uptime, accuracy, and reliability. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, tight-tolerance manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on a wide range of CNC machine tools, including multi‑axis mills, lathes, and routers.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.
- Execute machine alignments, calibrations, and precision adjustments.
- Diagnose and repair PLCs, servos, spindles, ball screws, and motion systems.
- Minimize downtime through fast, accurate troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering to support equipment reliability and performance improvements.
- Document maintenance activities and recommend long‑term reliability and preventive improvements.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience maintaining and repairing high‑end CNC machine tools (aerospace‑grade experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated expertise in CNC diagnostics, schematics, and precision measurement.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with tight‑tolerance equipment and processes.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and respond quickly to urgent issues.
- Resume must clearly list major CNC machine brands worked on (examples include Haas, DMG MORI, Okuma, Matsura, Fanuc, Nakamura‑Tome, or similar).
- Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing (e.g., BAC
5114). - Prior work in an ITAR‑controlled facility.
- OEM CNC maintenance or repair training and certifications.
