Director of Operations – Poultry & Food Production

We're looking for a Director of Live Operations to take charge of all live production functions — from hatchery to processing — while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure excellence across safety, quality, and operational execution.

• Oversee and optimize live production operations (hatchery, grow out, breeders, layers, live haul)
• Build and execute short- and long-term strategies to enhance performance and meet demand
• Lead scheduling, animal welfare, and biosecurity practices with a quality-first mindset
• Manage farm facilities upgrades and grower relationships
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting, Maintenance, and Compliance teams
• Ensure regulatory compliance (USDA, OSHA, EPA)
• Develop and mentor operational leaders, drive succession planning
• Own P&L, budgeting, and performance KPIs

• Bachelor's degree (Ag or Poultry-related preferred)
• 7–10+ years of multi-site operational leadership in live animal production
• Experience across all live ops: breeding, hatchery, laying, and live haul
• Strong grasp of quality systems, financials, and facilities maintenance
• Proven ability to lead leaders, coach teams, and improve performance
• Regulatory compliance expertise
• Experience sourcing and developing new growers
