Schedule:
Monday through Friday

Maynard Inc. is seeking a Painter / Paint Prep Technician to join our production team
. This role is responsible for paint preparation, precision painting, inspection, and quality assurance of aerospace and commercial parts
. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with surface preparation and manual spray painting
, a strong understanding of paint processes, and the ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
.
A Painter / Paint Prep Technician plays a key role in ensuring the durability, appearance, and integrity of finished products. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to safety, cleanliness, and quality
, and be capable of working in a controlled environment with chemicals, solvents, and paint equipment.
- Perform paint preparation activities
, including cleaning, degreasing, sanding, masking, racking, and surface inspection - Properly prepare surfaces and apply paint using manual spray equipment
- Accurately mix paints using volume and/or weight measurements
- Apply masking techniques as required by job specifications
- Conduct visual inspections and record process parameters such as gloss, color, adhesion, viscosity, thickness, and temperature
- Regulate and monitor drying oven temperatures
- Maintain and care for paint prep tools and manually controlled spray guns
- Recognize and prevent Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
- Identify and assist in resolving nonconformities or process deviations
- Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with PPE and respirator requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized paint and prep area in accordance with company standards
- Ability to read prints and follow detailed work instructions
- Experience with or understanding of paint prep processes and surface conditioning
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, paint materials, and spray equipment
- Understanding of how preparation and process inputs affect final finish quality
- Comfortable wearing respirators/masks and working around hazardous chemicals
- Strong attention to detail
, with effective communication and teamwork skills - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
, stand for extended periods, and bend or stoop as needed
- 1–2 years of experience painting aerospace or industrial products using manual spray equipment
- Candidates with automotive, industrial, or professional paint prep experience are encouraged to apply
