Job Duties

Join our team as a Senior Clinical Therapist at the UAMS BHSL Northwest Outpatient Clinic in Fayetteville, AR! The Senior Clinical Therapist with the BHSL provides comprehensive clinical services to patients, including diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. Using evidence-based interventions, the therapist delivers care in-office or remotely, depending on eligibility. Reporting to the Clinical Therapist Supervisor, Program Manager, or Clinic Medical Director, the Senior Clinical Therapist ensures high-quality care by making informed treatment decisions, understanding mental health diagnoses, and utilizing adaptable technological skills.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • Current and valid license by Arkansas Professional Board – Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of direct clinical outpatient behavioral health experience
  • Maternal Women’s Mental Health Experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Expertise in clinical therapy and evidence-based interventions.
  • Strong understanding of mental health diagnoses and treatment planning.
  • Adaptable technological skills for documentation and communication.
  • Effective communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to professional development and licensure/certification maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and crisis interventions.
  • Provide direct and indirect clinical services in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors and treatment team members.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education to support professional development and quality care.
  • Complete clinical and administrative documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
