Overview
The Dowty Field Service Representative will provide direction and assistance to the work group to meet assigned objectives. You will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. This role supports the R391 (C130J) Composite Propeller System and related components at Little Rock AFB, AR.
Role DetailsLocation:
Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. Travel up to 60% of the time. You will work on-site at customer locations and may travel to support field activities.
- Provide general technical direction and assistance to the customer in operation, maintenance, repair, logistic support, and installation of GE products.
- Provide on-site interpretation of data and technical instruction.
- Provide Project Engineering, Program Management, and Field Service management with complete and prompt information regarding program status, customer problems, failures, trends, and climate.
- Communicate program activities and problems to Product Support and Field Service through regular, timely reports.
- Prepare reports, including obtaining, interpreting, and communicating significant market intelligence and sales opportunities for assigned programs and support.
- Assist customer in scheduling maintenance and workload; help ensure parts meet established schedules.
- Make recommendations on findings and review effectiveness of maintenance actions to identify training needs.
- Anticipate requirements beyond those that affect the program and help implement actions to satisfy them.
- Perform intermediate and depot level maintenance and hands-on repair of the R391 Composite Propeller System and related components.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years aviation experience in a Field Service or Maintenance role.
- Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
- Able to lift a minimum of 65 lbs.
- 2+ years performing extensive repairs and conversions, as well as maintenance and repair work to aircraft engine and/or propeller systems.
- Ability to pass a non-DOT drug test and a background check.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Proven analytical and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
