Kubik Maltbie is looking for an individual who is ready for a new path, or start, in their career beginning in our audiovisual department focused on the worlds of museums, corporate lobby environments, and themed entertainment. This position requires a wide base of knowledge within the AV field in which you will be acting in three main capacities:
RoleDescription:
- Designer/Engineer: providing technical solutions in a range of environments from simple standalone visual displays to challenging blue sky designs
- Consultant/Client Representative: guiding our clients or representing their interest in the best possible solution that meets the project’s schedule, scope, and budget
- Commissioner/Project Coordination: oversee the execution of AV system integration
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management or equivalent experience.
- Two years of experience as an AV Site Supervisor or six years of experience as an AV Installation Technician
- Five years of professional experience in the audiovisual industry
- Valid Driver’s License and Passport
- Work Authorization
- Certified Technology Specialist – Installation (CTS-I), AVIXA
- Design and engineer AV systems
- Test and commission AV systems
- Develop AV system scope of work (SOW)
- Support Project Managers with AV portion of projects
- Utilize web-based company specific software for project operations (training provided)
- Utilize Microsoft OS and Office 365 applications, intermediate skill
- Utilize AutoCAD application for creation of wiring diagrams, rack elevations, connection details, and annotation of floor plans and reflected ceiling plans, basic skill
- Program audio Digital Signal Processors (DSP), intermediate skill
- Travel, 25-35% (Role can be local or remote, remote employees may have additional travel requirements for project tasks)
