Summary of

Job Duties

The Assistant Director of Outreach & Staff Development oversees staff development, signature programs, and assists with departmental assessment efforts. Main functions include developing and preparing student leaders for success, cultivating campus partnerships and events leading to healthy outcomes, and assisting with UREC’s communication strategy promoting our programs, story, and impact. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least two years of experience in collegiate recreation, student affairs, or higher education setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Higher Education or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Experience with student development programming, assessment, and managing full-time professional staff
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)
  • Knowledge of staff development and career competencies
