The College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas is soliciting applications for a 9‑month 100% appointed tenure‑track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering. While applications from all areas of biomedical engineering are welcome, we are especially interested in candidates with a research focus in the thematic area of cell and tissue metabolism. These include but are not limited to the development of in vitro models of key physiological systems involved in metabolic regulation, development of imaging tools to evaluate cellular and tissue metabolism, metabolic engineering using gene‑editing tools, development and use of computational or experimental high‑content screening systems to understand metabolic dysregulation, and modeling and simulation of metabolic processes involved in disease.

Candidates with a research focus in metabolomics and/or lipidomics are also highly encouraged to apply.

This faculty search is part of the University’s efforts to grow our existing strengths in metabolic research on campus and is closely aligned with the Arkansas Integrative Metabolic Research Center (AIMRC).
