Summary ofJob Duties
The University of Arkansas Grantham is looking for a REMOTE Faculty Manager in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, KS, IA, , IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, OH, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI and WY. State locations and specifics are subject to change as our hiring requirements shift.
- 50% - People Management
- Supervise part-time faculty
- Monitor and evaluate part-time faculty daily classroom performance to ensure academic expectations are being met and notify faculty regarding their performance in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
- Regularly provide course check-ups to various faculty
- 40% - Operational Management
- Conduct bi-weekly faculty performance meetings with the program chairs
- Utilize the appropriate academic dashboard systems and reports to monitor faculty engagement
- Teach one course a year
- 5% - Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaboratively participate in the hiring, training, and motivating of part-time faculty
- Collaboratively complete part-time faculty performance appraisals
- Implement mentoring activities for new and continuing part-time faculty
- 5% - Continuous Learning and Development
- Continuously update skills and knowledge through required training
- Seek feedback and opportunities for growth to enhance expertise and effectiveness
EDUCATION:
- Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years higher education online teaching experience
- 3 years of management experience
- Experience managing a team in a remote environment preferred
SKILLS:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team and with leadership
- Be decisive and have the ability/courage to address matters head on
- Ability to communicate in an online environment
- Effective interpersonal skills, academic reasoning, and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of people (students, faculty, staff, and administrators)
- Ability to gather, analyze, evaluate, and integrate information electronically
- Maintain close attention to detail and produce work in a timely fashion
- Proficient in MS Office with experience with a learning management system such as Bb, Canvas, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Skills:
Able to read, analyze, and interpret common journals and legal documents. Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Able to effectively present information to executive management, faculty, staff, and/or students. - Background Check Information
