Required Education and/or
Work Experience:
Instructors teaching lower and/or upper‑level courses requiring an associate or bachelor’s degree must hold a master’s degree in the discipline or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the subject area. Those teaching master’s‑level courses require a doctorate. Adjunct faculty with a clinical assignment must meet accreditation requirements. Occupational and technical faculty generally need at least an associate’s degree and related work experience.
Relevant job‑related education or experience may substitute parts of these requirements.

Prior teaching experience.

- Current knowledge of the relevant discipline
- Good organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries
- Ability to respond to learners from diverse backgrounds in a multicultural environment
- Ability to deliver course outcomes and content through a variety of teaching/learning styles
- Ability(loop) to use technology effectively in teaching
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students and colleagues
Background Check Requirements: Criminal background check and motor vehicle registry (MVR) check. Additional checks may include a drug screen, child maltreatment check, and proof of immunizations, depending on the area of study.
Additional InformationWorking Relationships: Work with a dynamic team of faculty, staff, and students in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment. May have contact with vendors, other agencies, and the general public.

Special Job Dimensions: The work is performed primarily in an office setting with regular data entry. The employee routinely sits for extended periods, occasionally stands and walks, uses close vision focusing on a computer screen, talks and hears regularly, and may lift items up to 50 lbs. The routine schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime and travel.
