Summary ofJob Duties
The position includes teaching courses, conducting scholarly and creative research, student advisement, and service to the department, college, and university. Teaching responsibilities encompass a variety of web‑based platforms, evening, and weekend courses. Additional duties include participation in faculty meetings, commencement ceremonies, and professional development activities.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach a diversity of BSW program courses; develop and design new curricula and use a variety of presentation formats.
- Provide student advising.
- Engage in professional development and service opportunities with the university and community professional organizations.
- Attend and participate in all faculty meetings, commencement ceremonies, and other required events.
- Conduct scholarly and creative activities in field(s) of expertise.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain a positive work environment by fostering teamwork, exhibiting leadership, and ensuring consistent on‑time attendance.
- Ability to teach variety of courses in diverse formats including full‑online, evenings, and weekends.
- Diverse knowledge in the broad field of social work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups within a team.
- Success in student learning using instructional methods that address a variety of learning styles.
Master’s degree in social work from a CSWE accredited program; knowledge of CSWE standards; minimum two years of post‑MSW professional practice experience; teaching and practice experience consistent with preparing students for generalist social work practice; experience with technology in the classroom and online course modules preferred. Substitutions may be made for part of these requirements.
Preferred Education and/or Work ExperiencePrior faculty and teaching experience preferred but not required.
Salary InformationSalary of $57,000 and up, commensurate with education and experience.

Additional InformationWorking Relationships:
Interaction with the Program Director, Field Director, and other adjunct and full‑time faculty is required. Employees supervise no subordinates.
Special Job Dimensions:
The job is primarily performed in an office/classroom setting. Occasional travel and extended hours may be required. The position requires regular computer use and may involve walking, standing, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
